Learn More about Tank Cleaning

There were approximately 5,333 fatal work injuries recorded in the U.S. in 2019, or one worker every 99 minutes, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This is a 2-percent increase from 2018 and the largest annual number since 2007. Non-fatal workplace injuries, many related to health hazards, result in annual cost to U.S. businesses of more than $125 billion per year. Tank cleaning hazards do not get as much attention or effort, yet these physical, chemical and health hazards are common.

This webinar is intended to raise awareness about tank cleaning occupational safety and health hazards. Tank cleaning hazards and risks can be effectively controlled, just like any other safety hazard and risk. Everyone has a role in helping to identify, evaluate, reduce, control and prevent hazards on the job.

The one-hour video will focus on these tank cleaning topics:

1. Confined space
2. Rescue
3. Atmospheric Monitoring
4. Respiratory Protection and PPE
